ALPHA DELTA KAPPA SERVES ALONGSIDE ORGANIZATIONS THAT BENEFIT CHILDREN AND YOUNG ADULTS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS.
ADK has partnered with many organizations since 2009.
Those include: Ronald McDonald House, Green Oaks School, Rays of Light, and Best Buddies.
From 2019-2021, we served alongside Rays of Light, a non-profit organization, keeping within the passion and heart of our sorority. They offer respite care for families of children with special needs.
Their Night Lights program offers children a fun-filled evening while parents get to enjoy a night out. At Night Lights, children have the opportunity to choose what they would like to do in a loving and nurturing environment. We have the best time at Rays of Light loving on children, and connecting with sweet families along the way!

“Serving at Rays of Light is an absolute blast! As a sisterhood, we get to go and be a part of something bigger that truly changes lives. Each of us is paired up with another sister and then paired with a child with disabilities. It was so fun not only getting to know a sister I might not have ever met, but also creating a bond with the sweet children of Rays of Light. We spend the evening running around playing games, watching movies, doing crafts, eating snacks, and we even get our faces painted!! I would not trade these nights for anything and will be something I cherish for a long time!”

“Before serving in the Rays of Light ministry, it is tempting to think of yourself as the ray of light in these children’s lives. However, after service, there is a true paradigm shift that brings a new awareness that these kids are the true rays of light. When you step into this building there is such a joy that radiates through the atmosphere. They help people around them experience love in a way that they never have before. ADK has given me an incredible opportunity to hang out with these amazing kids, and each time I go it’s an experience that I’ll never forget. I look at these children as not having a disability but rather as having a special ability to bring joy into every life they touch. I cannot wait to go back!”
